I fell for Kobe the first time I saw his picture when he was just a couple of days old. When his breeder confirmed that we would indeed be bringing him home with us, I was ecstatic! My daughter Brittany and I made the three-hour drive to pick him up on May 10, 2008. He was my boy from that day on, a truly loving and accepting dog.

Kobe loved his toys. When he was first given a new one, he carried it around the house making a strange sound that was somewhere between growling and crying — we used to call him Chewy, because he sounded just like Chewbaca from Star Wars! We sometimes had to take the squeaky toys away from him for a while, just to give ourselves a break!

Kobe loved to be the centre of attention and he would do anything to please his humans, but he was also very laid back and was quite happy to lie on the couch and watch TV with us. We knew we had his unconditional love, and of course he had ours.

Our family was devastated when we lost Kobe suddenly on April 22, 2010. He was just two years old. We are grateful to have had him in our lives, even for such a short time.

For those of you who may not know, white boxers are not breed standard and because of that are not able to enter a show ring.  Kobe did however spark my interest for showing boxers and from there it is all history.
